New Years Tree

Since we didn't get our tree decorated in time for Christmas this year, we decided to decorate for New Years. We pulled all our gold and silver and glitter ornaments out of our Christmas box, and then got to work making paper ornaments out of metallic wrapping paper (love the 50% off sales after Christmas!).

Here are the three type of ornaments we made:
I remember making these as kids, but I couldn't remember the exact directions, so I looked them up online and found them on one of my favorite sites, How About Orange.  These took a lot longer than I remembered, and they were beyond Cameron and Brigham's patience, so I ended up only making three. It would have looked really neat to have the tree covered in these...maybe next year.

I also got the directions for this one from How About Orange
I loved the look of these on the site, but I'm not a huge fan of how they turned out. I think I need more sturdy paper. I played with cutting different shapes in the middle and I think I like this diamond cut out the best.

Also found this one on How About Orange.

And there's our whole tree.
